Have A Fantastic Voyage On Groove Cruise Miami & Stay Out Of The Brig

STAFFMore News, News

Well friends, it’s December, which means Groove Cruise Miami is (finally) less than a month away! Celebrating its 15th anniversary, the Groove Cruise Miami will set sail from Jan. 10-14 out of Ft. Lauderdale and head down to Key West and Cozumel on the Celebrity Infinity. This year’s lineup includes Kaskade, Markus Shulz, Aly & Fila, MK, and Lost Frequencies along with #GCFam favorites Drums of the Sun, Keith Christopher, Kristina Sky, Scotty Boy, Scooter and Lavelle and more.

If you don’t already know, The Groove Cruise is filled with 96 hours of non-stop dance music with over 40 artists, themed events, and private island parties all on a massive cruise ship. It’s one of the wildest and craziest adventures you’ll ever have where you’ll meet friends you didn’t even know you had yet.

With the countdown to The Groove Cruise Miami 2019 officially underway, here’s five do’s and don’ts to keep in mind and prepare you for yet another remarkable journey.

Do: Bring Dramamine

Remember that the Groove Cruise is actually on a giant boat, so if you’re prone to seasickness, you may want to bring something to help with that. With so much to do, you’re not going to want to be stuck in your cabin nauseous from the waves. Plus, it’s always better to be safe than sorry.

Don’t: Bring Drugs

This goes without saying of course. With so much alcohol on board, you really don’t need anything else. Plus, drugs are bad mmmkay.

Do: Drink Responsibly

Obviously, there’s a ton of alcohol on board and lets face it; we’re all going to be drinking.

Don’t: Over Due it

First of all, you don’t want to be that person who blacks out in the first two hours and doesn’t remember a single thing for four days. Second, we’re all adults here and should know our limitations. Do you really want to spend half the night hugging your toilet? Pace yourself and remember to hydrate.

Do: Sleep!

There’s so much to see and do on board, you’re not going to want to miss a single second! With that being said, The Groove Cruise is 96 hours of non-stop music and partying. That means there’s something going on every hour, every minute and every second of the trip. It’s impossible to stay awake and see everything, no matter how hard you try. So sleep! You definitely don’t need a full eight hours, but at least 3-5 hour power naps, every so often, will help to keep you going.

Don’t: Ignore your Body

Your body will tell you what it needs when you really need it. It’s super easy to forget to eat, hydrate and sleep. So, when you’re tired, make sure you return to your cabin to rest, even if only for a few hours. Also, don’t forget to stay hydrated and eat regularly. Food and water are free onboard so you might as well take full advantage.

Do: Talk to Artist

One of the coolest things about The Groove Cruise is that there’s no such thing as “VIP,” which means your favorite artists are walking around the boat just like you. If you’re lucky enough to run into any of them, feel free to go up and say hello!

Don’t: Stalk them

While it’s okay to say hi and meet your favorite DJ, it’s not ok to stalk them, follow them, or creepily try to hangout with them. Say hello, take a photo if you must and move on. If they want to hang, they will and if not, just be grateful you got to meet them in the first place.

Do: Respect the Ship and Crew

Jason and the Whet Travel team put a lot of energy and hard work into making The Groove Cruise what it is, so be respectful to the ship and crew. The crew works hard to make sure everyone is accommodated, taken care of and happy. Not to mention, they don’t’ get to participate in the party like we do. You can respect the ship by throwing your trash away, not breaking or destroying anything and cleaning up after yourself.

Don’t: Be THAT guy (or gal)

In other words, don’t be an ass. We’re all on board to have a good time, so in addition to respecting your ship and crew, be sure to respect your fellow groove cruisers. We are one big happy family and should treat everyone on board as such.

If you don’t already have your spot secured visit www.groovecruise.com to reserve now! Act fast, as the event is already 98 percent sold out! This is an event you don’t want to miss and I can’t wait to see all of your beautiful faces on board!
